Monday blues...

What a day...I really don't like Mondays. It was just one of those days when you feel like you are already behind when you get up!! Then I just went and went at work, straight to pick up Max, the craziness always starts then:) ha ha!! To make a long story short...it was just one of those days when I felt like I didn't have a moment to breath!!

I also had a "lovely" conversation with Gil on the phone - ok, if you can't tell I'm being sarcastic...but I'm not even going into that! He has informed me that several people have told him they feel sorry for him that I have this blog and write things about him - and he can't defend himself. I feel terrible that people feel that way - but I don't feel that I have anything to apologize for. I did not start this blog to smear Gil's name - only to tell the truth about what I'm dealing with on a daily basis...and to let people know that my life is not perfect. Far from it...

I just wanted to share a few photos from this past weekend - Max and I went to Lincoln's bday party - his mom is my cousin, Chelsea Walls. Anyway - it was such a great party because the weather was perfect (yeah fall!!) and everyone just had so much fun:)!! We had chili and hotdogs, cake, brownies, and all kinds of yummy things:)!! The kids had tons of fun running around outside, riding Lincoln's bike with a squirrel tail tapped on it, opening presents, and blowing birthday horns:) Here are some pictures I snapped:

All the kids wishing they were on a 4-wheeler ride:)!! Looking thru the bday presents before the birthday boy even gets to!! All the kids blowing their birthday horns!!
Max loved the birthday horns!!

Let me preface this by saying,of anyone in our family, I'm about the only one that likes Gil. So now I'm going to be petty - if he is so worried about his rep, he can start his own blog. We blog to share what's going on in our lives - its therapeutic. Your blog should be the least of his worries :) love ya honey!

i agree! everyone has their story & is entitled to share it. =] however somebody interprets it is based upon the way they have experienced the same situation that you're in. i'm sure there aren't many who have been in your exact situation or know all of the details. so i'm sure they wouldn't be able to cast the first stone. love you & miss you too. 2 weeks is too long!

It's easier to express your feelings in writing than in any other way. I think that it's a good thing what you are doing and if he would read between the lines he would understand that it is not to smear his name, only to show what you're going through from your perspective.

Abbie, your blog is wonderful and I don't feel like you have done anything or said anything wrong. You know you inspire so many people seriously. People can look at this and learn from it. I love you so much keep up the blogging.

I just want to start by saying that I think you have really done a great job at doing just the opposite of what some people are saying. I have been in a similar situation and trust me, I know how hard it is not to just lay it ALL out there. You have way to much to deal with right now and shouldn't have to worry about Gil's feelings. Anyone who reads this blog probably already knows Gil and knows that he has problems. Its just that he is a Toy and that family hates for their dirty truth to be told... You and Max are in my prayers and you are doing a wonderful job raising him...

ab- people are always going to say hurtful things and are going to try to stir up trouble. you have in no way smeared gil's name, he did that for himself, and let's face it, sometimes the truth about yourself hurts. i'm proud of you for being as strong as you are. hang in there sweetie! love the new pics of max- he's adorable :)

Hey Abbie - I don't want to say much other than I think you are a wonderful mother and you are doing what you believe is right in your heart of hearts. You have to do what you feel is right and best for you and your family. Have a great weekend!

Abbie, You do talk about Gil in your blog, obviously because he is a part of your life, but I don't think you've posted anything but the truth. You are just being open with what you are going through. Love ya sweetie!

Hey There -

When I started my blog, it was for a school project. As I wrote my first few entries, I quickly realized that it was the only way I was emotionally making it through what was going on with my life. I then kept it up, bc I wanted to be able to look back and see how far I had come. I also wanted others to read it and know that there is power in prayer and in friendship.

I only say that to tell you how much I love reading your blog. Any time I think that I don't deserve what I am faced with, I read your words from Rick Warren and my outlook immediately changes.

I have never met Gil and I am not even sure what he has done. So.... your blog is obviously not in any way slandering him. To me, that is immaterial. What is important is that your life just got way more complicated and you have to deal with it the best way that you can.

I think you are remarkable and brave. Not many would share their story for the world to see.

Hang in there. I will send up prayers for you. Give that sweet angel a kiss for me and have a great weekend.

Sometimes the blog is the only release that we have...you keep using it...but make sure that you reassure Gil that you don't do it to intentionally hurt him...you do it for yourself, which you deserve and need. You don't want to hurt him but you have to take care of yourself too...
